"The Last Sunset in Lebanon" is the story of a professional, intelligent and sensitive woman, with a big heart and a formidable capacity to love, which led her to make life and death decisions to protect her little daughter.
 
In this book we look at a world and a culture where women are worth very little, however, the courage that God placed in her heart, her faith and her great love as a mother led her to live an impressive odyssey to escape to a land of freedom.
 
Mayra Santos was born in the Dominican Republic, where she graduated in law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra. She studied at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University and obtained accreditation to practice law in the State of New York. He holds a Master's Degree in Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York.
 
She currently lives in Miami, Florida where she works in the legal field. She is a mother, daughter, wife and friend. Her passion is to help and serve her community, church, clients and especially women in general.
